Is it free? Do I need to sign up or give my email?
Yes, it is free, with no sign-up and no email. The hearing check, your graph, the explanation and the download cost nothing, and the optional AI explanation is free too. Contributions are voluntary and never needed to see your results. You can download your result or save it on this device.
How long does it take?
About 5–10 minutes for the Quick check and 10–15 minutes for the Detailed check, plus a short sound setup. You can pause at any time.
Can I take it on my phone?
Yes. It runs in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer. You need headphones and a quiet room.
What do I get?
A graph of your responses at six pitches (250 to 8,000 Hz) in each ear, a pitch-by-pitch table, a plain-language summary and a report you can download or print. You can also ask for a free AI explanation of your results.
How accurate is an online hearing check?
Your headphones, device volume and surroundings affect the result. This check measures your responses on that setup; it does not establish clinical hearing-loss levels. A calibrated assessment with an audiologist is needed for diagnosis.
What if my hearing changed suddenly?
Seek medical care immediately for sudden hearing loss. Do not wait for an online result or AI explanation. Read the NIDCD guidance.
